Our Cigar pens are made three (3) ways. The first way is made with genuine cigar leaves. Ecuador Yellow Tobacco leaves are moistened and then hand rolled onto painted brass tubes. These tubes are then adorned with recycled cigar bands and placed into a mold where acrylic is poured over the assembly over a three day period. Once the acrylic has hardened, it is then hand turned on a lathe, polished and matched with the appropriate hardware to offer a rich lustrous feeling pen that writes like a dream!
The second way we make our Cigar Pens is to hand paint a brass tube and then adhere a recycled cigar band. The tube is then placed into a mold where a non-yellowing acrylic is poured over the tube. Once the acrylic has hardened, it is then hand turned on a lathe, polished and matched with the appropriate hardware to offer a rich lustrous feeling pen that writes like a dream!
The third way is our Habana Faux Cigar. Thuya Burl from Morocco is turned on a lathe to look like a cigar. The ash end of the cigar is made from buckeye burl, etched and painted to look like real ash! The smoking end has been cut to resemble a cut end of the cigar before it is smoked.
